Twitter Spam, Cloud Spam & The Twitter Blacklist: How to avoid getting kicked off Twitter

Congratulations! You've finally joined Twitter, the NEXT-BIG-INTERNET thing that everyone is talking about. And plenty of people and companies are already using insider Twitter tricks to make big money & get more business. But you already know many of these people- the same Spammer jerks who keep sending sex and drug messages to your email In-Box. Twitter hates them too and wants to ban them.
So why is Twitter banning normal people like you instead? It's because of Twitter's Automated spam cloud detector. A spam cloud is a bunch of Twitter messages made by one (or a few) Twitter users. These spam cloud messages bug other Twitter users to go to some other website in order to get a "deal" of some sort-i.e. business deals, memberships, product giveaways, or unwanted advertising sites.
Twitter's automated system tries to find and kick these account abusers off but sometimes YOUR BEHAVIOR as a normal Twitter user can get the attention of Twitter's automated anti-Spammer detectors (and then you wake up with your account suspended- and you often have to wait days for Twitter to send you a message explaining why you were kicked off).
KEEP YOURSELF OUT OF TROUBLE WITH TWITTER! (Watch Out For Too Many Followers Too Soon)
Whenever a user acquires many followers quickly, Twitter starts to notice. When your account shows that you also do not have very many Twitter updates (messages) to equal all these new followers, you can be sure the Spam Cloud Detector is sniffing around your account waiting to be set off by any suspicious activity. This suspicious activity can be sending Tweets with a link to an outside website or (apparently) using certain key terms in your messages such as "deal", "Viagra" , "pictures" - all words and terms that Spammers like to use also.
BUT ISN'T TWITTER SUPPOSED TO BE USED FOR BUSINESS MARKETING TOO? (YES! but do it within reason)
This means don't be using Spammer techniques of gathering a bunch of followers way in excess of your message count or in excess of the number of Twitter people you are FOLLOWING yourself. When the "Followers" following your account start to way outpace the number of people you are "Following", Twitter is going to start to get suspicious. Keep both numbers even and increase one or the other gradually to be safe. Sure, there are ways to gather a bunch of followers quickly and avoid Twitter's penalty but that is for another day. So good luck and be safe til then.
